Recently i installed the latest CLOUD firmware 26.31.3.238.
Since that i can see on my firewall the doorphone is trying to connect to 47.90.48.196.
Calling the adress via a webbrowser shows a login page for "Redirect Provisioning Server".
What is it for and how can that be deactivated?

Re: CLOUD firmware calling home
Totally agree! I'm blocking this traffic, too. But I would like to turn it off at the device. This behavior does not create trust, but that is something I would like to have with my IoT devices.

Re: CLOUD firmware calling home
Hi Sir,
The RPS server "47.90.48.196" is a Akuvox server which is for applying configurations to devices when needed.
In cloud firmware, "the doorphone is trying to connect to 47.90.48.196" is designed like that now.
In future versions, we will optimize this part.
Thanks&Best regards

Is this new feature described on the FW-update blog intended to solve the issue?

Hi Sir,
Sorry, it is not ready now.
You can upgrade to the firmware which is not support to connect to cloud to prevent it-http://forum.akuvox.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=12
